First Train to Allwood - a Community Project

The story of how a VERY
long fence is being yarnbombed by a community

One hundred and one years ago the first train came to Allwood - now the village of Hurstbridge undefined

We're celebrating by  yarnbombing a large cyclone fence and making just the biggest patchwork doily you've ever seen. Permission granted, a design created, sponsors found, cord purchased and we've been chugging along since April 2012.

With our 63 volunteers we've tootled a long way.  Its an ongoing project - the main outlines are there so now we're finalising the carriages and are beginning to add details.  Lots more fun yet!
